DMJM, in Association with the Cuningham Group, was selected by Warner Bros. to provide architectural and engineering services for a 60-acre theme park, 30 kilometers south of Madrid. This park is comprised of 5 lands - a Hollywood Boulevard, a Movie Studio area, Super Heros Land, a Western area, and a Cartoon Village for young children. There will be a 3-D theater and two live show theaters. Major rides include four large coasters, a tower shot, two flume rides, a raft ride, and two motion-base dark rides. Also included are daytime and night lagoon shows. The park has a wide variety of food service sizes and types. Skill games are located in two of the lands along with 12 flat rides, a children’s theater, a children’s coaster, and a live street stunt show. For an 8-month operation, attendance is projected at 4.8 million. |
