DMJM—working in joint venture and on behalf of the U.S. General Services Administration—provided total program management services for nationwide Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Customer Service Centers (CSC). The total construction value exceeds $300 million. DMJM managed all aspects of the program, including professional and administrative activities in support of major capital projects nationwide.
The program includes both bridging design/build construction and traditional design/bid/build for major renovation and alteration projects. The first bridging design/build IRS Customer Service Center facility constructed under this contract includes six floors of office space totaling approximately 300,000 square feet. This project was recognized by the GSA for being under budget—by more than $7 million. In addition, all basic and optional project/construction management services required for the San Diego courthouse project are being provided on this program. DMJM is also working with the IRS to support safety, security, and risk analysis functions by developing guidelines and standards, performing vulnerability assessments of district offices, preparing security and HVAC upgrade design documents, and conducting special technical studies and cost analyses. In 2001, this contract was re-awarded to DMJM for another five-year period. |
