Tenneco is a $7.2 billion global manufacturer of well-known packaging and automotive products, such as Hefty bags and Monroe shocks. DMJM provided fast-track, overlapping design and construction management of a 60,000–square foot data center to house all of Tenneco’s mainframes, SAP servers, AS400s, and other business-critical information technology systems. DMJM directed the fast-track project, advancing it from inception to occupancy in less than one year. The building contains a secure network operations center with a help-desk call center and features climate-controlled raised floor space to house mainframes, servers, tape silos, and disk farms. DMJM also provided extensive network consulting services to help Tenneco architects install a world-class enterprise systems management center. This required evaluation of systems software and hardware platforms, installation, integration of network management systems, and staff training. DMJM continues to provide ongoing network consulting services for the Tenneco facility. |
